25 Best Delivery & Takeout in The Twin Cities (Minneapolis & St. Paul)

Certain foods are destined for takeout, and places around Minneapolis embody what takeout can and should be. It’s not because their ambiance is bad but because the type of food is meant for a cozy Sunday inside your home, especially if you want to avoid staying out on a winter’s night.

Whether you’re enjoying a night in, looking for something different, or when visiting and not sure where to go, you need these best takeout restaurants in the Twin Cities to truly experience Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Are you a takeout fanatic? We’re huge fans of getting outside and enjoying a unique atmosphere or taking a picture of that perfect dish when it’s placed right in front of you at the restaurant, but it isn’t the same as your living room.

There are moments when your living room plus epic food sounds like the best way to spend your night. You can’t eat your restaurant’s favorite food and stream your favorite show simultaneously if you are in the restaurant.

Sometimes you need a night to relax without thinking of what you’ll wear, what everyone else is wearing, and how long the wait will be before you can eat. Instead, we have some of the best options for you to consider for takeout in the great Minneapolis area.

Best Delivery & Takeout in Minneapolis

There is a big difference between Minneapolis and St. Paul for those who don’t know. Even the most identical twins have characteristics setting them apart.

Food stalls vs. restaurants, pizza vs. burgers. There’s plenty to take away and no shortage of takeout, no matter your neighborhood or the city you’re in.

Despite what those outside of the Twin Cities may think, the best takeout food in Minneapolis is diverse, mouthwatering, and will hit the spot, no matter your cravings.

1. Monte Carlo

Monte Carlo Restaurant in Minneapolis

Address: 219 N 3rd Ave, Minneapolis, MN

With some of the best chicken wings in town, Monte Carlo is the perfect takeout option for a fancy at-home dinner or game day with your friends. The fried chicken is to die for, and the wings’ seasoning is unmatched. It’s hard to say what the Twin Cities’ best burger is, but it’s easy to say Monte Carlo’s burger is a perfect size. Order online and top off your choice with some chili or a salad, and you are ready!

Their extensive menu ranges from lighter fare suited for lunch to more elegant dinner options like a classic New York strip steak. Call ahead for your take-out order, or sit at the bar (enjoy a cocktail or martini) while you wait for your order to be ready.

Monte Carlo has been an absolute staple of the North Loop in Minneapolis. Order now on Seamless.

2. Boludo

Boludo Minneapolis

Address: 8 W. 38th St Minneapolis, MN

Boludo means “stupid” in Spanish. It’s a perfect name because their empanadas and pizza are stupidly good.

It’s the type of place you visit and immediately think, “I want you to get a bigger space!” A fun environment and amazing food permeate the experience, whether you’re eating in the restaurant or at home. Both their empanadas and pizza are out-of-this-world good.

They are located in a tiny space, but that’s fine because any Boludo is better than no Boludo at all. The best play is to pick up Boludo on a Sunday afternoon – then, take it home and relax while you enjoy it.

Not technically pork dumplings, but the Jamon y Queso empanada can satisfy your craving and more, with its flaky crust, generous filling, and combination of salty cheese and ham. You can also go for the margarita or the pepperoni pizza.

Then, pair that with a puerro (aka beef) and pollo (aka chicken) empanada. It sounds like a funny combo, but you will be blown away.

Did you suddenly realize you have a craving for Boludo? Order online with Doordash to get it for takeout or delivery or visit one of the four Minneapolis locations, including its new, larger spot across the street from its original location.
