Resort amenities at this luxury hotel include three outdoor swimming pools, a fitness center, 16 restaurants, 15 bars, and an on-site 80,000-square-foot spa with 62 treatment rooms.

2. Bellagio Resort

With its spectacular dancing fountains and gorgeous gold-toned exterior, the Bellagio Resort is one of the most iconic resorts on the Las Vegas strip. Inspired by Italian towns near Como, including Bellagio, it was built by Steve Wynn on the site of the former Dunes Hotel (the same Wynn of Wynn Las Vegas and The Mirage) and opened in 1998.

3. Caesars Palace

From classic columns and elegant statues to gold-embellished décor and crystal chandeliers, it’s easy to live like royalty at Caesars Palace. Personally, I could spend the day just hanging out with Versace, Valentino, and Gucci at the Forum Shops. I love that faux sky ceiling. Don’t miss the mini Trevi Fountain. The kids will enjoy trying to find Nemo or Dory at the saltwater Atlantis Aquarium.
One of the most famous and best luxury hotels in Vegas, Caesars Palace opened in 1966 and has seen guests such as Johnny Carson and Jimmy Hoffa (maybe he’s still there). It was Sinatra’s choice of performance venue after ending his stint at The Sands.
Caesars Palace has 3,960 rooms spread out over six towers: Augustus, Roman, Centurion, Palace, Nobu, and Forum. The hotel was made even more famous in movies like Rain Man (please, no counting cards), Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, and many others. It’s most memorable as the playground of the Wolfpack in The Hangover (don’t forget that “tigers love pepper, they hate cinnamon” and, by all means, stay off of the rooftop).
Speaking of the Hangover, this place is a top wedding venue. I was here a few years ago for a friend’s wedding and they even trotted out the wonderfully cliched Elvis impersonator to help them tie the knot.
The swimming pool area (which features Roman architecture, obvs) offers seven pools, cabanas, daybeds, a lounge, and swim-up blackjack tables. Of course, you can also play slots, poker, roulette, craps, and more in the traditional casino. But, seriously, how fun is a swim-up blackjack table?
Nobu Hotel is in a separate tower at Caesars. For a secluded ambiance in the middle of the action, go with the Asian-inspired décor of this luxury location, which also has the largest Nobu restaurant.

I’ll admit, I do quite like Las Vegas for what it is chiefly known for (the fancy-schmancy resorts and casinos) – but sometimes when you go to Vegas, you just want to stay in an honest-to-goodness hotel, not in a brightly decorated money-harvester, where you can’t tell what time of day it is.
Located a half mile from the Vegas Strip, Courtyard by Marriott Las Vegas South is one of the best hotels in Las Vegas for those who want to be near, but not in the middle of, all the action. One of the best off-Strip hotels, this Las Vegas hotel has four floors and 140 rooms, so it’s much smaller and easier to find your way around than the typical Vegas mega-hotel or resort. It’s located near the Mandalay Bay Resort, the famous Las Vegas sign, and the Pinball Hall of Fame.
Spacious accommodations include guest rooms and suites with extra seating. There’s a fitness center, a gift shop, a convenience center, a coffee shop, a restaurant, a meeting space, an outdoor pool, and a firepit lounging area. It’s also pet-friendly, so Fido or Fluffy will appreciate an invite.

5. Excalibur Hotel & Casino

When we mentioned medieval castle, you probably thought we were being figurative. Well, that would be a big ol’ nope. The exterior of this colorful hotel quite literally resembles a Disney castle. This is Vegas! What were you expecting? Modesty? Taste?!
Named after King Arthur’s legendary sword and opened in 1990 as part of the MGM family, Excalibur Hotel & Casino has 4,032 rooms within its elaborate turrets and towers. Sorry, there’s no moat (though, there is a small water area with fountains at the entrance, so that will have to do). There’s a fitness room, a spa, multiple bars and restaurants, in room dining, and four pools with a water slide, cabanas, and daybeds.
Guest rooms are available in standard, Wellness-inspired, and king (or queen) suites. Like nearly every hotel in Las Vegas, the slots, poker, and table games come standard. Excalibur is about as over the top as it can get in Vegas (apart from Paris) and that’s part of the charm. If you really want a good laugh on your trip to Vegas, pick Excalibur.

6. Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino

The pink towers of The Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino are home to the oldest of the original hotels still operating (though, there have been many renovations over the years). The Flamingo was originally opened in 1946 by a collaboration between Bugsy Siegel (yes, that Bugsy Siegel) and Billy Wilkerson, founder of The Hollywood Reporter magazine.
Siegel and Wilkerson helped develop the concept of not having clocks or windows in the casinos. This kept gamblers hanging around and handing over their money a lot longer. This practice is still used in modern times. For that “old Vegas” vibe of mobsters, bootleggers, and other such characters, you’ll want to pay a visit to the Flamingo.
From blackjack, roulette, and craps to horse racing and sports betting, the Flamingo has it all within a 72,299-square-foot casino. You can also just stick to the slots. There are 1,600 of them, so you should be set.
The Flamingo has 3,460 rooms ranging from family-friendly accommodations with bunk beds to luxury suites. Spend the day relaxing by a tropical 15-acre pool complex surrounded by palm trees and waterfalls, enjoy serenity at the adults’ only pool area, or check out the flamingos, swans, ducks, and other feathered friends at the wildlife habitat.

7. Golden Gate Hotel & Casino

Another hotel evoking that “old Vegas” vibe is the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino. Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, and Frank Sinatra may have played at the Sands, but they hung out at the Golden Gate.
Originally opened in 1906 as the Hotel Nevada, the Golden Gate was the first built on Fremont Street, which is located in downtown Vegas at the north end of the Strip. This area was the beginning of Vegas before it expanded down Las Vegas Boulevard.
The hotel has seen a lot of history in its time. It was considered a luxury venue in 1906 due to the electric lighting and steam heat radiators. In 1910, gambling was outlawed in Nevada, which you could argue made Vegas pointless (it didn’t last long, so whatever).
In 1927, a bright electric sign was installed, a forerunner of today’s barrage of neon. It’s also said to be the birthplace of the shrimp cocktail (and we thank you for that, Golden Gate).
Arguably the best thing about this hotel is its location. To some people, Fremont Street is superior to the Strip.
One reason is that it is far less crowded than the Strip. The main reason is likely because it’s a cornucopia of bright lights, loud music, historic casinos, tacky gift shops, wacky street performers, great food, booze galore, and incredible people-watching.
Located next to the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino, the hotel has 122 rooms (that include standard, suites, penthouses, and 10 of the original rooms), a pool with a gigantic LED screen, and a casino with all the customary slots, table games, and poker tournaments as well as Bar Prohibition and OneBar.

8. Mandalay Bay

Sitting on 120 acres at the south end of the Vegas Strip, Mandalay Bay is a gorgeous South Seas paradise complete with bubbling fountains, gigantic griffin statues, and a two-story aquarium. Guest rooms range from standard and family-friendly suites to luxurious executive and presidential suites. There’s a spa, a salon, and multiple bars, lounges, and restaurants.
For those interested in the numbers, this MGM Resorts-owned hotel has a 43-story tower, a 147,992-square-foot casino space, an 11-acre pool complex, and 3,209 guest rooms. Then, there are the entertainment venues that include the 12,000-seat Michelob Ultra Arena for sporting events and concerts or the 1,805-seat Michael Jackson ONE Theatre.
If you only see one Vegas show, make it ONE. Truly, it’s a stunning tribute to the King of Pop.
One of the top Las Vegas hotels for pool-goers, Mandalay Bay Beach is a massive area with 2,700 tons of real sand and a 1.6-million- gallon wave pool that can produce six-foot waves. With a lazy river and a lagoon, it’s been named one of the Best Pools in the U.S. by TripAdvisor. DAYLIGHT Beach Club is a dayclub for those who like to party during the day.
The Delano Las Vegas is located within the Mandalay resort complex (a hotel within a hotel, if you will). Guests can use the pools and other amenities at Mandalay Bay.
The swanky boutique hotel has all suites and its own beach club (with a giant and super cool submerged chessboard) as well as the Skyfall Lounge and the BATHHOUSE Spa, which features 12 luxurious treatment rooms. There’s also a Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas within Mandalay Bay.

9. MGM Grand

With iconic lion sculptures flanking the front and emerald-shaped architecture inspired by the Wizard of Oz, the MGM Grand is a reflection of the Golden Age of Hollywood. One of the top hotels in Las Vegas, the place is gigantic.
Its 6,852 rooms solidify it as one of the largest hotels in Vegas. It has four 30-story towers, making it a marvel to view. Then, there’s the 171,500-square-foot casino.
For a luxurious and spacious experience, book a SKYLOFT room for one, two, or three-bedroom lofts with immersion steam showers, heated towel racks, Bvlgari bath products, and 24-hour personal butler service. 10. The Mirage Hotel & Casino

The Mirage features a lush and tropical South Seas theme. It’s one of my favorite Vegas hotels to just hang out in. There’s a nine-story domed atrium with towering palms, ferns, and other greenery.
The Y-shaped building (an architectural element that was later copied in hotels such as Mandalay Bay and Treasure Island) is an iconic sight on the Strip. As is the volcano. Yes, a volcano erupts nightly in front of the resort.
With waterfalls, palm trees, tropical plants, and curvaceous lagoon-style pools, the Mirage has one of the best pool complexes on the Vegas Strip. Other amenities include a spa, a salon, specialty shops, a fitness room, and a variety of bars and nightclubs. That’s all in addition to the slots, table games, and high-limit lounge at the 90,548-square-foot casino.
The Mirage opened in 1989 and offers 3,044 rooms and 29 floors that include traditional rooms, suites, and Wellness-inspired accommodations that have specialized lighting, air purification, and aromatherapy.
Developed by Steve Wynn, the Mirage was the first mega-resort on the Strip. It was the home venue for Siegfried and Roy for nearly 14 years.
On a side note, the Mirage is slated to become the new home of the Hard Rock Las Vegas by 2025. The original Hard Rock, which is just off the Strip, is now Richard Branson’s Virgin Hotels.

Formerly the Monte Carlo, the Park MGM Las Vegas is the best Las Vegas hotel for fans of sports and live entertainment. T-Mobile Arena – home arena of the Vegas Golden Knights as well as concerts, basketball games, UFC events, and more – is across from the Park MGM Las Vegas.
The hotel has 32 floors, 2,992 rooms, and a 102,000-square-foot casino. Chic and elegant traditional guest rooms and spacious suites are available.
The hotel has a sophisticated pool area with palm trees, cabanas, and daybeds. Other hotel amenities include multiple nightclubs, bars and restaurants as well as a fitness room, a spa and salon, the Dolby Live Theater, which offers world-class entertainment from artists like Bruno Mars, Usher, and Maroon 5.

12. Paris Las Vegas Resort & Casino

Paris Las Vegas is the best hotel in Vegas for fans of all things French. Featuring its own Eiffel Tower and an admittedly beautiful recreation of the Montgolfier Brothers balloon, it really is quite a lot, bordering on a bit too much when you first walk into Paris Las Vegas (similar to real Paris – just for very different reasons). Eventually, you’ll get used to the “is-it-the-sky-or-is-it-a-ceiling” ceiling, and you’ll be bon.
Under the eery false sky of Paris, you’ll find Parisian cafés, wine bars, and boutiques along indoor cobblestone streets, and some of the best macarons, brioche, crepes, and croissants anywhere on the Strip. There’s also some great shopping here too.
Part of the Caesars hotel family, Paris Las Vegas opened in 1999 and has 2,916 rooms and 33 floors. The hotel has a world-class casino, a rooftop nightclub, a rooftop pool, a spa, a salon, and multiple bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. Built where The Sands used to be, it’s one of the best hotels in Vegas for romance due to its opulent architecture, Renaissance art, soaring ceilings, and those cool gondola rides…on waters far cleaner and clearer (if shorter) than those in real Venice!
Home to a few sensational restaurants, the Venetian Resort Las Vegas has two golden-toned towers, the Venetian and the Palazzo, with 7,000 rooms between the two. Both feature spacious hotel rooms and suites with separate living spaces, dining areas, and more.
Amenities include several pools with dayclubs and cabanas, a 120,000-square-foot casino, the Grand Canal Shoppes, and the Canyon Ranch Spa + Fitness. 14. Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino

Elvis may have left the building, but the building is still there (since 1969). The Westgate was known as the International Hotel while The King had his residency there from 1969 to 1976. It was a Hilton property for a while before becoming the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in 2014.
Located next to the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Westgate has 30 floors and 2,956 rooms. Choose from suites and villas or signature, premier, and lux king rooms with views of the Vegas Strip or the golf course.
This Sin City hotel offers amenities such as multiple bars and restaurants, a 54,923-square-foot casino, an outdoor pool, Serenity Spa, a fitness room, pickleball courts, and golf at the nearby Las Vegas Country Club. The theater hosts performances that range from Barry Manilow, Kool & the Gang, and Frankie Valli to Elle King, Winger & Lita Ford, and .38 Special.

15. Wynn Las Vegas

Located on the site of the former Desert Inn, the Wynn Las Vegas opened in 2005 and the Encore (a hotel within a hotel) opened in 2008. Wynn Las Vegas has 2,716 rooms and Encore has 2,034 suites.
The two sister sites are side-by-side, so it’s easy to enjoy amenities at either location. Both Wynn Las Vegas and Encore have a casino that’s connected by a walkway.
Relax at one of several pools while enjoying the perfectly landscaped garden surroundings. The Encore Beach Club has private cabanas and daybeds and a pool party ambiance.
Elegant and comfortable rooms at Wynn Las Vegas and Encore offer panoramic views, floor-to-ceiling windows, and tower suites with private patios and two-bedroom configurations. Encore rooms are slightly larger than the traditional Wynn rooms.
